This month we kick-off 3rd quarter. My favourite quarter of the year! While many business owners use the summer to slow down, successful business owners use it to double down.
Because each 90-day quarter in your business is an opportunity for a fresh start.
Fresh start doesn’t = NEW.
There’s nothing wrong with NEW; there’s a time and place for that.
New = SLOW.
Because NEW oftentimes means that you’re starting from scratch; that you plant seeds today and harvest your crop at some point in the future.
“You cannot sow and harvest in the same season.”
It’s not always about starting NEW strategies, finding NEW ways to market or targeting NEW buyers.
Oftentimes, you already have an abundance of revenue and impact opportunities that simply need to be harvested.
One of the best business growth strategies is to: LEVERAGE MOMENTUM.
What this means is at the start of each quarter, when you develop your goals you’ll want to also review your numbers, so you know exactly where you’re generating your leads and discovery calls, and what your conversion rates are at every stage of the sales process.
You’ll also want to know your highest ROI offerings, best selling services, and best performing marketing tactics.
The more data you have the better.
You don’t collect data, so you can say you have your numbers.
You collect data to help you make better decisions.
Your data will reveal growth opportunities.
Your data will uncover many additional ways to improve revenue WITHOUT spending any more money.
Leverage what works.
Your data will inform where to leverage the momentum you already have to make incremental improvements that will generate exponential results.
If you want to reap the benefits of your hard work, you will have to be patient and persistent.
I know that numbers aren’t as sexy as trying out a new trendy marketing thing.
But trust me, trendy marketing things are overrated…and a lot of times they don’t really produce results, for the average human.
On the other hand, knowing your numbers and using the data to optimize and grow a purposeful and profitable business that increases your income, influence and impact — now that’s pretty sexy…! 🙂
